Hello, everyone it is a new year and were are so excited to see what 2009 has to give us. Elder Walker (Tyler) has been gone on his mission for 15 months I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. We had a great time being able to talk to him on Christmas. It was the best Christmas present that we could have asked for. Michigan has been very cold, so Tyler being that fun loving person that he is decided to conduct a test. He went out side with wet hair and his hair was frozen within 30 seconds. He is serving the Lord but he has not lost his since of humor. Well talk soon. The Walkers
Hello everyone, well Ty is back to speaking Spanish. I think that it will be good for him. He has had some pretty awesome things happen since he was transfered to Holland, MI. The Lord is always blessing him. I am so proud of all of his efforts in striving to do the best that he can and still be the fun person that he is. I hope that everyone is doing great! Darla you had better get going on this new blog spot with me or I will tell the story about Wal-Mart or Target to everyone. Mary
Well, Tyler was transferred to Holland Michigan. He was really sad to leave South Haven. I knew that it would be hard for him because I knew that he was really close with the members there. He said that he is greenie busting his companion. I talked to the mission office today to get an address and so I asked her what that meant. It means that he is his second companion, the first companion is the trainer but the second companion is the greenie buster companion. They also use the word Zebra for when an English elder is serving with a Spanish speaking Elder as companions. So that is all for now. Mary
Hello everyone, we made it through another week and at the end of this one we got some wonderful pictures of our missionary Elder Walker. It looks like he is having such a wonderful time. We were so excited to get his pictures. Scott's job is safe at Micron with all of the lay offs that have been going on. His area was not affected thank goodness. We are very grateful for that. Have a great week! The Walker's
Hello, everyone we have just survived our first full year of being empty nesters and our son Tyler being on a mission for one year. It has been a great year!!! We have really enjoyed watching our son grow while he has been serving his mission in The Lansing Michigan Mission, Spanish Speaking. What a joy it is to see your child grow into a wonderful young man. It has gone by fast, too fast in some ways.
